Baseball ist US-amerikanischer Volkssport. Vor großen Spielen wird üblicherweise die Nationalhymne angestimmt – jetzt auch in metallischem Gewand!
Metallica werden vor dem Spiel der San Francisco Giants gegen gegen ihre „Erzfeinde“ Los Angeles Dodgers die US-Hymne anstimmen.
Zusammen mit dem Ticket für das Baseball-Match am 03.05.2013 gibt es eine limitierte Metallica-Giants-Mütze (siehe Galerie oben).
Ein Teil der Einnahmen soll der Bill Graham Foundation zugute kommen, die sich für Musik, Kunst, Bildung und Soziales einsetzt.
